I just joined this group and I am happy to be part of it.I just finished making birth annoucements for my twin grandsons. They were born May 27,2009.They make #6 &7 grandbabies. The past 5 months I have been sewing a lot of baby items. Now maybe I can get back to doing more cross stitch items.I like to do small and fst projects.

I also love to cross stitch but have gotten away from it for awhile. Time to pick up my needle and get back into it. Some of my favorite designs are from Sam Hawkins, Donna Kooler, . I prefer the small designs, kitchen sayings, fridge magnets etc. over the larger designs. I dont want to spend months stitching something out. I also like making xmas ornaments in cross stitch. Every year i add to my collection. Also like most of you have my share of books, patterns, leaflets. Im happy to be in this new group and glad to meet people who share my passion.

I have been cross stitching for many years and have way too many books, patterns and supplies. My closet that i share with my finacee is mostly mine. It's filled with sewing, cross stitch and crocheting supplies.

I bought several kits, Thomas Kinkade Embellished kits, but I'm afraid to start one. Where do you begin, and how long should you leave the strands of thread on the back?
